The Global Health Studies Program will launch its 2021-2022 Global Health Speaker Series on Friday, September 17, with Jackson Senior Fellow Obiageli Ezekwesili, who will discuss global health and policy on the African continent.
The series—organized by Jackson Professor Catherine Panter-Brick and Jackson lecturer Cara Fallon—examines transformative relationships between health and a range of fields including public policy, law, technology, international relations, scientific research, economy, journalism, and more.
Ezekwesili, an economic policy expert, is Senior Economic Adviser of the Africa Economic Development Policy Initiative and one of the co-founders and pioneer directors of Transparency International-TI, the Berlin-based global anti-corruption organization. Ezekwesili is currently also the Founder-CEO of Human Capital África working in the education sector across Africa.
Attendance is limited to Global Health Scholars, Jackson students, and Yale faculty members. The outdoor event will be held under the tent behind Horchow Hall (55 Hillhouse Avenue, New Haven). Seating is limited.
